Maharishi Vedic University, the City University of Maharishi Vedic City
Begins Operations and
Invites all Mayors to Establish a Branch or College of this University to provide Total Knowledge to the Residents of their City

WHEREAS, the residents of Maharishi Vedic City enjoy living in a city that applies the Total Knowledge of Natural Law to promote their health, happiness and well being, and create a crime-free, problem-free city life.

WHEREAS, Total Knowledge available in the City includes the following:

1. Vedic Architecture and City Planning to promote health, happiness and good fortune and to eliminate “sick building syndrome”
2. Vedic Health Care — natural prevention-oriented health care, without the harmful side effects of modern medicine.
3. Vedic Agriculture to provide nutritious Vedic organic food, picked when ripe when flavor and nutrition are maximum, and grown without the use of modern chemicals.
4. Vedic Education to develop the consciousness and total brain potential of every student and prepare students not just for one type of employment but to be the masters of Natural Law and the leaders of their societies.
5. Vedic Law where the Constitution of the City is the Constitution of the Universe, Total Natural Law
6. Vedic Administration based on Total Natural Law, which administers the infinite diversity of the universe with perfect order.
7. Vedic Economy where the Raam Mudra— the global development currency of the Global Country of World Peace—circulates in the City.
8. Vedic Invincibility and World Peace where the City applies practical scientifically verified programs (a “Group for a Government”) to create a crime-free city life— free from fear of terrorism and violence—and support an invincible nation and peaceful world.

WHEREAS, Maharishi Vedic University was established by ordinance of the City Council of Maharishi Vedic City adopted January 2004 pursuant to the home rule powers of the City granted by the Constitution of the State of Iowa and to Chapter 364 of the Code of Iowa to offer Total Knowledge of these and other fields.

WHEREAS, the legislature of the State of Iowa adopted in its 2005 regular session an amendment to Section 261B.11 of the Code of Iowa adding an exemption for not-for-profit colleges and universities established and authorized by city ordinance to grant degrees to the requirements relating to registration of postsecondary schools. This amendment was passed unanimously by both houses of the Iowa General Assembly, by a vote of 98 to 0 in the House and 48 to 0 in the Senate, and signed by the Governor of the State of Iowa on April 29, 2005. This legislation became effective July 1, 2005.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Maharishi Vedic University shall begin to offer its degree programs to bring Total Knowledge of Natural Law to the people of Maharishi Vedic City and every city where the University offers its programs.

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of every city is invited to establish a branch or college of Maharishi Vedic University or to establish a sister university of Maharishi Vedic University to provide Total Knowledge for the health, happiness, and well-being of the citizens of their City.
