Hotel/Motel Tax
February 27, 2002
WHEREAS, the City currently does not have a hotel/motel tax;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City shall submit to the voters at the earliest election time the proposal to adopt a five (5) percent hotel/motel tax, where twenty five (25) percent of the proceeds supports advertising for hotels within the City borders, twenty five(25) to percent to support other tourist activities, and fifty (50) percent for general uses of the City.
